Man United signed Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta during the summer over a record fee worth £72m,the Den striker made his Old Trafford debut in the 3-1 defeat against Brighton on Saturday after being out of the squad for weeks. Rasmus Hojlund was able to find a goal but was denied his first goal by the VAR. before the goal, the VAR discovered Rashford was out of play which resulted to Hojlund’s debut goal, Erik ten hag believed if Rashford had often time passed the ball to the new striker, they would have stand a better chance to win the game.
Erik ten hag believes that Rashford and Hojlund will both get the connection on the pitch so soon, saying discussion and interactions between both of them is ongoing.
According to the press meeting on Tuesday with Manchester United manager Erik ten hag, he was asked if he was calling on Rashford to strike up a good partnership with Hojlund.
“Yes, both of them needs to know each other better so as to benefit from each other and the process just started but nevertheless, the club needs result” said Erik ten hag.
“it is a two way thing, we learn from every game we play and even from our training which is important for the coach and every staff, of course we have seen Rashford and Rasmus talking together on how to benefit from each other on the pitch” added Erik ten hag.
With Manchester United kick-starting their champions league campaign on Wednesday against Bayern Munich, the manager believes Rashford and Hojlund partnership will connect.
