Aitana Bonmatí Wins UEFA Women’s Player of the Year award

Just in, Aitana Bonmatí has won the UEFA women’s player of the year award after Bonmati helped Barcelona win the Women’s Champions League and then inspired Spain to World Cup glory earlier this month which has earned her an award.

Aitana Bonmatí was awarded the UEFA women’s player of the Year on Thursday ahead of Olga Carmona and Sam Kerr.

The UEFA Women’s Player of the Year award is set to honour the outstanding achievements in European football from the previous season.

UEFA Men’s player of the Year award

Erling Haaland wins the UEFA men’s player of the year award following his performance last season for Manchester City both at the English Premier League and UEFA Champions League. The Norwegian netted more than a goal per game in the Premier League to break the division’s single-season scoring record and plundered a further 12 in 11 Champions League games. Bukayo Saka also won the PFA men’s youngest player award with Arsenal.
