Moisés Caicedo deal to Chelsea completed few hours ago. Chelsea has completed the signing of Brighton midfielder Moisés Caicedo for a fee of £115m. Chelsea made several bid for the Brighton midfielder after completing the signing of Brighton goalkeeper Sanchez. The midfielder found himself at the middle between Chelsea and Liverpool, Caicedo who was in his best form last season, attracted several clubs who came with a high bid. but the Ecuadorian has made up his mind to join the blues.
Earlier today, Chelsea announces the signing of the Ecuadorian Moisés Caicedo for a British record fee worth £115m. Caicedo has signed an eight years deal with Chelsea which see him at the club till 2031. Enzo Fernández and Moisés Caicedo now becomes the most expensive player bought by a premier league club.
Liverpool on the order hand, was ready to break the bank for Moisés Caicedo after agreement with Brighton has been made, but Caicedo made it clear that he was keen on joining the London team.
Chelsea has in time spent huge in the transfer market, buying Romelu Lukaku for a record deal. Chelsea signed the Belgian striker from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window of 2021 for a reported transfer fee of around £97.5 million, his was a club-record fee at the time and reflected Chelsea’s determination to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
