McTominay safes the day for Manchester United with a stoppage time brace against Brentford to give home side the three point to make it their fourth win for the season.
Following a poor start to the 2023/2024 premier league season for Man united, losing four games out of their last seven games in the premier league and also two defeat in the champions league despite pairing Hojlund and Rashford.
United hosted Brentford on Saturday but found it difficult to equalized a 26th minute goal from Mathias Jensen. United defense actually orchestrated the goal scored by Mathias after a poor defense from the home side, Casimero could intercept the ball from Wissa and the ball rolled to Mathias who stroke pass the defenders and Andre Onana to give away team the lead.
Brentford kept the game calm and kept pressing for more goal keeping Andre Onana busy in the second half of the game. In the 89 minute of the game, substituted Martial played the ball on Kristoffer Ajer leg which led to a goal for united, but VAR was quick to rule the goal finding Martial offside. which led to the home team to keep pressing for a goal.
Three minute after the disallowed goal, substituted Scott McTominay pulled one goal for the home team to level 1-1 with Brentford, Scott brought the ball down from his chest to strike with his right foot which passed through several defenders. the game became intense as the red kept pushing for a winning goal, Andre Onana took a free kick awarded to the red from half the pitch locating Harry Maguire who headed the ball to the Scottish who headed the ball as well, but Thomas Strakosha tried to pulled the ball out unfortunately the ball found it way into the net.

“We had a perfect first half, we pressed so high and were good on counter attack and we were well deserved with the led in the first half but football is brutal” said Thomas Frank.

Man united will be playing away from home against bottom table Sheffield united while Brentford host Burnley who suffered a 4-1 defeat at Stanford bridge, while the international break comes up after the match week nine.
