Super Eagles and Inter Milan former player Taribo West has back Samuel Chukwueze who joined Rossoneri from Villareal CF to succeed at his new club, reported soccernet.
Nigerian forward signed a five years deal during the summer with AC Milan which will see him at the club till 2028 after a convincing career with the yellow submarine, scoring 13 goals and 11 assist for Villareal last season.
Super Eagles legend Taribo West who was opportune to play for both Inter Milan and AC Milan has backed his fellow Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze to succeed at AC Milan, insisting he has made the right choice to move to Milan.
Since his arrival at Milan, Chukwueze has found it difficult to get on the starting line up for his new team, Taribo who during his time at Rossoneri could only get on the starting lineup four times before leaving for FC Kaiserslautern has urge Chukwueze to stay focus and patient. The Nigerian has eight appearance since he joined but could only make the starting lineup twice this season in all competition for Milan.
“I think Samuel Chukwueze has made the right choice to move to Milan, we will now see the best out him because Milan is a club that brings out the best out of young talented players” said Taribo West.
Taribo also added by pointing out certain factor that will help him succeed at Milan, “he is a boy who has fought so hard to be where he is today, so he needs to keep his head down forget the enjoyments and distraction, listen to his coach and also learn from his mistakes while working hard in training”.
AC Milan started their champions campaign against Newcastle following a draw between both teams, Chukwueze also made his champions league debut that day.
