Who is the favorite for the ballon d’or 2024?
The France Football Magazine has nominated 30 male and female players for the 2024 ballon d’or award. The award will be given to the best male and female player in the 2023/24 campaign, the award is held by Lionel Messi and Spanish Aitana Bonmati.
Who will win the Men’s 2024 ballon d’or? Favorite
Let’s talk about the players likely to win the ballon d’or 2024 after the 30 man list was announced by France Magazine.
Vinicius Junior
The Brazilian consistency and quality to show up any stage for Madrid might likely earn him the ballon d’or. Despite several racial abuses in the Spanish La liga, Vinicius has been outstanding.
Vinicius bagged 26 goals with 12 assists in 2023/24 campaign, he also contributed to Real Madrid’s Champions league victory against Borussia Dortmund.
The only challenge the Brazilian might encounter in his quest for the award is Brazil’s poor performance at international level.
Despite scoring 2 goals in a single game at the 2024 Copa America, Brazil fell out of the tournament early. Which might affect his chances of winning the 2024 ballon d’or.
But Vinicius Junior is the favorite to win the Men’s ballon d’or 2024 award ahead of 20 years Bellingham.
The England International who recently joined Madrid was able to score 23 goals last season. But it will take him a few more season to triumph over Vinicius who has made Santiago Bernabeu is home.

Favorite Ballon d’or Feminin Winner
Aitana Bonmati holds the previous 2023 ballon d’or Feminin award, seems like she might still win the award again.
26 goals and 18 assists is quite impressive for the Barcelona star to retain the ballon d’or. She contributed to Barcelona’s victory against Chelsea in the Champions league final.
Aitana Bonmati scored the lone goal, giving the Spanish team victory over the Blues.
Spain and Bonmati’s performance at the just-concluded Olympic Games might be the reason she did not win.
The ballon d’or 2024 Feminin Award might just be between Aitana Bonmati and Ada Hegerberg. Aitana is also listed among the hottest and best-looking female footballers in Europe.
Ada Hegerberg was the first female to win the award in 2018, she might stand a chance again. Despite suffering from several injuries over the years, Ada was at her top form last season.
