The 26-year-old French winger is now on the verge of joining the Ligue 1 champions. Dembélé has already made the decision to move to PSG, and the activation of the €50 million release clause has initiated discussions between the two clubs.
Although PSG has the option to pay the €50 million fee outright for Ousmane Dembélé’s , there is also a possibility of negotiating alternative payment terms with Barcelona. This could result in a higher overall fee but more favorable payment conditions for PSG. The clubs have a five-day window to finalize the deal, during which they may explore the alternative agreement. If no alternative arrangement is reached within the stipulated time frame, PSG will proceed to pay the €50 million release clause directly to Barcelona, after a good performance against Arsenal and Real Madrid in the pre-season game.
