The new power court stadium is a 17,500 seats capacity which is almost 7,500 bigger than Kenilworth road stadium. The club has also agree to expand the Power court in the coming year. That is if the club progresses more in the English premier league.
Why Luton town need a new stadium?
Kenilworth road stadium has been Luton stadium since 1905, the club understands its is almost impossible to begin the premier league with Kenilworth.
The plan to move to a new stadium started even before the club’s recent promotion to the English premier league. A purchase of the power court land was made in 2016 and construction began in the same year.
However, the hope of Luton town FC was to move to their new stadium in 2020 but due to some financial set back, the date has been shifted to 2024.
Luton town premier league opening game against Brighton and Hove Albion was almost canceled due to premier league stadium rules. Kenilworth road stadium could not meet the premier league standard despite being renovated.

Luton power court parking was designed to support travelers and supporters who finds parking an issue at Kenilworth.
Kenilworth road parking
We understand parking has always been a problem for supporters coming to Kenilworth. As travelers, parking should no longer be an issue as parking near Kenilworth is the perfect car park.
Luton Town FC recommends parking at Power Court if you’re going to a home game. They even offer special permits for fans, which you can click on the link below to find out more. With these permits, you can park for free during the week and get a discount on weekends (including Fridays) – only £1.40.
If you’re not a Luton Town supporter (visiting team fans), parking at Power Court costs a bit more (it was £3 for me). Basically, you get what you pay for. The parking isn’t super organized, and spots fill up fast, but it’s only a few bucks, so not much to grumble about. Plus, it’s just a quick 5-minute walk to the stadium!
