Kelechi Iheanacho reaction to Super Eagles 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia in Portugal

Former Manchester City and Leicester City player Kelechi Iheanacho react to Super Eagles 2-2 draw vs Saudi Arabia in Portugal following their previous win against Sao Tome.

Super Eagles played Saudi Arabia in an International friendly game held in Portugal at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão on Friday evening, the game ended in a 2-2 draw between the two teams. The Super created more chances that should have win the game for them, but they failed to convert most of the chances created. The eagles coach Jose Peseiro started Bayern Leverkusen top striker Victor Boniface ahead of Leicester striker Kelechi Iheanacho to partner with Ballon D’or nominated Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

The green Falcons took the lead by Salman Al Faraj after the Super Eagles goalkeeper made a mistake from Salman Al Faraj corner kick which made him and his team conceded, Francis Uzoho became frustrated after helping the Green Falcons lead by 1-0 to the Super Eagles.

Saudi Arabia could only hold the goal for only 13 minutes after Boniface stroke the ball which led to a deflection from  Abdulelah Alamri to level the game 1-1 for the eagles.

64 minutes into the second half, the eagles pressed so hard for more, substituted Kelechi Iheanacho who replaced AC Milan Samuel Chukwueze utilized a counter attack player the ball at the top left corner of the Saudi goalkeeper. Nigeria led the game 2-1.

Saudi Arabia leveled up the game 2-2 from a freekick which also resulted to a deflection from the Nigeria defender to give Roberto Mancini and his team a draw in Portugal.

Leicester striker Iheanacho feels disappointed with his team Super eagles not getting a win vs Saudi Arabia which will also see the team play Mozambique on Monday, October 16, in another international friendly in Portugal.
