Real Madrid academy in Nigeria is one of the best and newly built foreign football academy in Nigeria with locations in Abuja and the Headquarter located in River state, Nigeria.
It was build and developed by the River government in 2019. Under the government of the former state Governor, chief Nyesom Wike.
This was a made step during his time in office. To empower the youths of the state by providing this standard football academy. To train young generation kids who aspire to play football professionally.
The Governor said. ” football is no longer a pass time, but a huge business and career path for lots of our youth here. The state have been greatly endowed with football talents here. Most of our youth with potentials in the past had faded away because there’s no platform to develop their footballing skills”.
The governor said it’s a huge investment by the state government and the people of River state not just another football academy. it’s an investment made for the success of our children future.
During the commissioning of the football academy, the immediate past minister of Sports, Samuel Dare, said, the Real Madrid football academy pass the 3i’s of Sports development: infrastructure, initiative and investment. And hope the in the near future the football academy will be able to produce great footballer to represent our national team and the world at large.
Academy partnership
The Real Madrid academy in Nigeria was build in partnership with the famous Real Madrid FC of Spain. To admit 70 per cent of indigenes of River state and allow the remaining 30 per cent will be for students from other states to join the Real Madrid academy in Nigeria.
Real Madrid Spain also agreed to provide both management and technical support to the academy in Rivers State, both in personnel, equipment for training methodology.

How to join Real Madrid academy in Nigeria
The Real Madrid academy in Nigeria is open to children between the ages 5-17. Prepared to nurture future stars, giving room for both football and academics.
The Real Madrid academy in Nigeria admit 70 per cent indigenes that pass the screening exercise successfully and are not to pay any FEE during their time there. The remaining 30 per cent which is open for none indigenes and foreigners will have to pay for yearly fees that covers training, accommodation, feeding and medicals.
The Real Madrid Football Academy in Nigeria has a well structure facility to produce well trained football player that can compete at every stage to football all over the world. The complex has the capacity to accommodate 540 students.
