Nigeria striker Victor Osimhens’s agent, Roberto Calenda, wants legal action against Napoli following the club’s post on TikTok, which mocks Nigeria after he missed a penalty in the game against Bologna. The background audio screams “Gimme penalty, please” with the striker’s video clip when he took the penalty against Bologna. The Serie A champions deleted the post a few hours ago, but Roberto Calenda still insists legal action is going to be taken against Napoli.
Victor Osimhen has deleted every post concerning Napoli on his official Instagram page, which might make the nominated 2023 Ballon d’Or player leave the club as English club Chelsea looks promising for the Nigerian.
In a statement released by Osimhens agent Roberto Calenda, “What happened today on Napoli’s official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable. A video mocking Victor was first made public and then, but now belatedly, deleted.
This is a serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player and adds to the treatment that the boy is suffering in the last period between media trials and fake news. We reserve the right to take legal action and any useful initiative to protect Victor.”
Victor Osimhen has recorded three goals this season in all competition for Napoli after his outstanding performance last season which led to Napoli emerging as the champions of Serie A last season.
During the game last weekend against Bologna, Osimhen missed a penalty in 72th minute of the game which saw the manager Rudi Garcia substituting him five minutes after missing the penalty. Osimhen was caught on camera after he was substituted shouting and angry with the coach decision to take him out.
Napoli took to their Tiktok social media account to mock him, which has caused Roberto furious after Osimhen turned down offers from Saudi clubs.
