Christopher Nkunku is out for weeks, Chelsea newly signed striker Christopher Nkunku has undergone a surgery following his injury against the German club Borrusia Dortmund, which will see the player miss the few games as the 2023/2024 campaign season kick start this week, with the blues playing Liverpool who has strengthened their squad ahead of this season after a poor outing last season.
Nkunku, aged 25, sustained a knee injury during a pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund. Subsequent scans were performed to assess the extent of the injury. Upon confirmation of a meniscus injury, the French player underwent a surgical operation, leading to his absence from the team.

In an official statement released by the club, Christopher Nkunku who sustained an injury against Borrusia Dortmund will not be available for some games this season. the 25 years attacker has successfully undergone a knee surgery which he will then go for rehabilitation which the club medical team will supervise. On the other hand, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s is looking at the possibility of signing a new attacker.
Chelsea are also in talks with Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic for a potential move to Stamford Bridge. This transaction, may see Romelu Lukaku heading in the opposite direction, after the blues signed Axel Disasi.
