Brazil played Uruguay in the 2026 world cup qualifier on Tuesday, the Brazilians were beaten 2-0. Neymar was stretchered out of the field after picking a knee injury from a contact from Nicolas de la Cruz. The contact between Neymar and Nicolas de la Cruz looks light, but Neymar made a wrong step with his right angle which triggered his weight moving to his knee. Neymar who suffered an ankle injury at the 2022 world cup which resulted to Brazil being eliminated at the knockout.
Neymar’s injury nightmare continued even at PSG which made him undergo an ankle surgery and missing 15 games. The injury held him down all through the summer which made him left PSG for Saudi Arabia club Al Hilal. He also had to miss out on the first four games for Al Hilal due to his ankle injury.
Neymar returned back to training in September and was able to recover and proof himself again with his new Saudi Arabia club Al Hilal, scoring three goals in his first three games for Al Hilal and also a goal in the AFC Champions League.

Neymar injury against Uruguay was his 15th injury in his career as a footballer, the Brazilian just returned from a muscular problem which saw him at the sideline for 30 days. In February, Neymar suffered the longest injury nightmare which made him lost out of play for almost five month.
