The Men’s PFA young player award
The England National player and Arsenal winger was at his top form for Arsenal last season who played all 38 games premier league games for the Gunners. Bukayo Saka has shown his consistency as a top player at young age, he bagged 15 goals for Arsenal in all competition.
During the men 2022 World Cup, Bukayo Saka made the England games entertaining with his talent in taking down defenders. Despite all nominees, Bukayo Saka came out as the winner of the men’s PFA young player award of the year. The English winger has a slow start this season after a poor pre-season performance but was eager to correct his poor pre-season performance right from the first 2023 campaign game.
Arsenal Dominated the Men’s PFA young player nomination list
Three other players from the Arsenal squad made it to the list for the men’s PFA young player award which includes Aaron Rasmdele, William Saliba and Martin Odegaard. The Gunners recorded a total of 88 goals last season with Odegaard and having 15 goals with 11 assist for the club while. Arsenal dominated the PFA award nomination list.
It was a difficult decision to make looking at the performance of Odegaard and Saka last season while Saliba was left out of the squad after picking up an injury, though his little contribution to the team made him nominated for the award.
PFA team of the year
PFA team of the year was more like an Arsenal and Man city team with the Gunners having four players in the team who among others are Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard, William Saliba and Bukayo Saka. While Manchester City had the highest numbers of players in the team with five player from the premier league champions making it to the PFA team of the year. Newcastle new signing Kieran Trippier and Tottenham Harry Kane who moved to Bayern also made the team.
