Amrabat: Manchester United have already made an acquisition in the form of Mason Mount from Chelsea, but they continue their search for a defensive-minded midfielder. To do so, the club is open to offers for both Fred and Scott McTominay.
According 90mins sport news One of the players on United’s radar is Amrabat, who impressed during the World Cup representing Morocco. Reliable sources from 90min have confirmed that the Red Devils have engaged in discussions with Amrabat’s representatives to negotiate the potential terms of a deal.
Amrabat to Manchester United
The 26-year-old midfielder currently plays for Fiorentina and is in the final year of his contract with the Italian club. Given permission to explore other opportunities, Amrabat has been valued at €30m (£25.9m) by Fiorentina.
Besides Manchester United, Atletico Madrid has also expressed interest in securing Amrabat’s services, while Liverpool and West Ham have made initial inquiries but are yet to progress their interest further.
Fred and Scott McTominany to leave Manchester United
“Manchester United’s pursuit of Amrabat hinges on their need to offload several players first. Among those likely to leave are McTominay, who has garnered interest from West Ham, and Fred, who is wanted by clubs in England and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Eric Bailly, Alex Telles, Donny van de Beek, and Anthony Elanga are also expected to be offloaded.
While Amrabat is set to return to Fiorentina training on Monday, the Moroccan international is eager to have his future sorted out before then.
Fiorentina’s general manager, Joe Barone, recently revealed to Sky Italy that there have been no official offers for Amrabat yet. Barone maintains regular communication with Amrabat, who is fluent in English, but has advised him to remain focused on Fiorentina and perform for the Viola.
In light of Amrabat’s potential departure, Fiorentina has already made preparations and secured a deal to sign Arthur from Juventus on loan, with the option for a permanent transfer.”
